    The resourse allows you to find information about clinical trials, Cochrane reviews, non-Crane systematic reviews, methodological research, technological and economic evaluations on specific topic or disease.

    The resource contains the following databases:

    •  Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (bibliographic database)
    •  Cochrane Clinical Answers (clinical question, short answer and opportunity to delve into the data of relevant clinical reviews).

    SCOPUS is scientometric database and tool for tracking citation of articles published in scientific editoins. It indexes over 21000 titles of scientific and technological and medical journals, approximately 5000 international publishers, 100000 books, 390 titles of Trade Publications, 370 book series (continuing editions), 6,8 million reports from conference proceedings.
    Scopus is daily updated database, it includes records up to the first volume, the first issue of journals from leading scientific publishers. It provides consummate support in searching scientific publications and offers links to all published abstracts from the vast volume of available articles.

    SpringerLink – one of the world's leading full-text databases which includes books and journals on various branches of medicine.

    Since December 2020 the Library only has subscription to the Springer eBook Collection in Medicine. This collection includes monographs and guidelines for clinicians in English in PDF and EPUB formats from Springer. Springer publishes about 290 new books each year in the field of Medicine and owns a back catalog of 1800 currently available books. 

    Access is provided:

    •  on the university network (by IP addresses)
    •  remotely (after registration in the system from the IP address of the university).

    For remote access you must be registered in the room № 501. To register you need an email address.

  • European Pharmacopoeia

    The European Pharmacopoeia (Ph. Eur.) is a single reference work for the quality control of medicines. The official standards it contains provide a scientific basis for quality control during the entire life cycle of a product.

    These standards are legally binding – as laid down in the Council of Europe Convention on the Elaboration of a European Pharmacopoeia and in EU and national pharmaceutical legislation. Ph. Eur. quality standards become mandatory on the same date in all States Parties to the convention.

    It contains:
    • description of hardware for pharmaceutical analysis;
    • the current state of chemical, physicochemical, biological methods of analysis, medicinal substances and preparations definition and testing;
    • impurity limits;
    • methods of qualitative and quantitative analysis;
    • methods of analyzes in pharmacognosy;
    • pharmaceutical technical methods;
    • research methods for packaging and containers;
    • general information on sterility and vaccines;
    • private articles;
    • methods of statistics, etc.

    The library has access to the 10th edition of the European Pharmacopoeia. The subscription includes three volumes: 10.3, 10.4, 10.5.
    The search can be carried out by keywords in the text, drug name, chemical formula, and so on. You can just view the table of contents of the volumes.

    The Wiley Online Library has the richest collection of online documentation resources for a variety of disciplines. It provides easy, integrated access to the results of over two hundred years of research.
    Our subscription includes 399 journals in medical and related specialties (anesthesology, emergency medicine, gynecology, ophthalmology, pediatrics, physiology, psychiatry, etc.).

    To access the resource you need to follow several steps:
    • register a profile on the Wiley Online Library site;
    • log in from network of your university, then you get remote access from any device for 60 days;
    • to extend remote access you need to log in from network of your university again.

    If you can't visit the Library, then you can send us your desired login, password and photo of your student/reader card (to identify you as our reader) to bibliotekavgmu@mail.ru or write us a message on social networks:

    PubMed is a free search engine accessing primarily the MEDLINE database of references and abstracts on life sciences and biomedical topics. The United States National Library of Medicine (NLM) at the National Institutes of Health maintain the database as part of the Entrez system of information retrieval. 
  • PubChem

    PubChem is a database of chemical molecules and their activities against biological assays. The system is maintained by the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI), a component of the National Library of Medicine.
  • Medical-journals.com

    By registering on the site, you get a systematic catalog of medical journals from all over the world, including English ones. At the same time, the creators of the portal stipulate that the permission for paid or free access to a particular journal depends only on the publishers of the journal. Without registration, the resource offers to get acquainted with free resources.

    Medscape is a website providing access to medical information for clinicians; the organization also provides continuing education for physicians and health professionals. It references medical journal articles, Continuing Medical Education (CME), a version of the National Library of Medicine's MEDLINE database, medical news, and drug information (Medscape Drug Reference, or MDR).
  • PLOS One

    PLOS One is a peer-reviewed open access scientific journal published by the Public Library of Science (PLOS) since 2006. The journal covers primary research from any discipline within science and medicine.
  • National Library of Medicine

    A comprehensive and useful resource that offers a variety of medical information and various options for finding and integrating information. The main and most useful databases and search engines are listed on the main page, and a separate field contains useful links to basic, additional, developing literature and full versions of scientific texts that are freely available.
  • MeSH

    MeSH is a comprehensive controlled vocabulary for the purpose of indexing journal articles and books in the life sciences. It serves as a thesaurus that facilitates searching. Created and updated by the United States National Library of Medicine (NLM), it is used by the MEDLINE/PubMed article database and by NLM's catalog of book holdings. MeSH is also used by ClinicalTrials.gov registry to classify which diseases are studied by trials registered in ClinicalTrials.
